Healthcare Risk Management (HRM) Certificate Program
The Certified Professional in Healthcare Risk Management (CPHRM) is the health care industry's premier certification for the risk management profession. The review course is intended to assist eligible risk management professionals prepare for the CPHRM certification exam.

Patient Safety Certificate ProgramThe Patient Safety Certificate Program is designed to assist health care risk management and patient safety professionals in applying key patient safety concepts to support improved patient care and outcomes. Participants will review patient safety concepts and learn to effectively apply them to effect positive change in their organization. Registration for this program closes August 16.
Online pre-work begins August 19, followed by on-site application October 11 and 12, and one hour of online post-work.
Risk Financing Certificate ProgramUnderstanding the basics of risk financing allows the risk manager to tie clinical efforts directly to the financial ramifications. This risk financing boot camp will help risk managers learn key risk financing information and techniques, as well as how to better assess their own programs. From reviewing loss runs to understanding actuarial reports, an educated risk manager can engage their C-suite by talking about the financial implications of the risk management program to the organization. This program start by looking at insurance policies and end by ‘running’ a captive – illustrating how the options of risk financing parallel the organization’s philosophy on risk identification, mitigation and resolution. Each participant will leave with practical tools to use in their daily work.
Pre-Conference: Continuing Education Credits
Participants of all programs excluding the Patient Safety Certificate Program may earn up to 13 ASHRM credits toward fulfillment of the requirements of ASHRM designations of FASHRM (Fellow) and DFASHRM (Distinguished Fellow) and towards CPHRM renewal. The Patient Safety Certificate Program is approved for 18 contact hours
Continuing Nursing Education
American Society for Health Care Risk Management is accredited as a provider of continuing nursing education by the American Nurses Credentialing Center's Commission on Accreditation. HRM Module 1, HRM Module 2, HRM Module 3, Risk Financing Certificate Program and CPHRM Exam Prep Course are approved for 13 contact hours. The Patient Safety Certificate Program is approved for 18 contact hours.
